Deep In The Hollow

When Brandy Nacole sent me her book Deep in the Hollow I couldn’t wait to dig in. I wasn’t disappointed. As a matter of fact I read it from cover to cover in one day. Having her on my blog today is an honor. I hope you’ll try all her books. She graciously let me interview her. You are going to love her. Read the blurb then her interview.

Let me share some wisdom with you. There is evil in this world we cannot see, not because it is hidden from us, but because our minds refuse to accept its existence. But once we are able to get past what everyone says should not be, it becomes our responsibility to stop the evil we now see.

This insight wasn’t given to me until a year after I lost the most important person in my life: Bryce Rowan. Now, after another death at the same spot where he died—the overlook, where the mysterious lights dance amongst the trees—I begin to wonder if they were accidents after all.

Lucky for me, I’m not the only curious one in town. Cooper, a ghost hunter (aka chaser), and his sister Jada have moved to town and are starting to ask questions.

But the more we find out about this town and the people who live here, people who I have known my whole life, the more I begin to think there are those who would rather keep the evil secret, even if it means we will never be safe, and that more will die.

What moment
in your life did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I can remember when I was a kid and loved to
read and tell stories. Then one day an author came to my school, explained what
he did, and had his books with him. I was enthralled during the whole
presentation and excited to realize ‘Hey, I can write my own stories.’ I have
been writing ever since.

Where and when do you write?
Well, right now my time is limited. I am working
twelve hour days with my husband six days a week, so writing has become a real
treat. Thank goodness this is only a temporary six week task. During my normal
schedule, I write in the morning after my kids go to school and then again when
they go to bed. My husband, who is the greatest, helped me add an office in our
house and it is my favorite room, not only because it’s where my imagination
gets to takeover but it’s also where my husband hand crafted floor to ceiling bookshelves
that store all my favorite books.
Do you have any
special routines you must do as you write?
Product DetailsNothing comes to mind. As long as it’s quiet
and I have a blanket, I’m good to go.
Why did you
choose to write paranormal stories to tell?
It all stems back to my childhood fandom of
Goosebumps. Plus, I have always been absorbed into hearing about local legends.
Something about them fascinates me.

Where do you
see yourself as a writer in twenty years?
I see myself sitting in the quiet, on the front porch
of a log cabin, the breeze slightly blowing and the sun shining bright with the
newest age gadgets helping me express my imagination. Lol. Reality, I have no
clue but I do know I’ll never stop doing what I love, which is writing.

What does your family think of your passion for writing?
They are proud and supportive, especially my
husband. He is very proud that I am following my dream and does what he can to
help. My kids are proud and will tell everyone their mommy writes books. I have
a lot of support and am very thankful for that.
Any words of
wisdom to your fans?

Never give up on yourself. Anything is
possible as long as you believe in yourself.

One More Thing:
This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I hope you will support this cause in whatever way that is fitting. Don’t forget the kiddos who have teachers, relatives and friends with this terrible disease. They are hurting too.
