Interview with Benjamin
Clark
Clark
Our interview today is with the director
of Enigma, Benjamin Clark. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day
to visit with our readers. You are head of an organization that sees threats
and solves the problem. Why can’t other agencies like the FBI, CIA, etc. do the
job?

job?
One
of the reasons is that the Department of Justice likes to throw their weight
around to stay in control. They don’t want to step on any toes. We are funded
by some private individuals who want terrorism wiped out in this country.
Granted we do work under the Homeland Security umbrella and answer to the
president but the DOJ can’t touch us. That works to our advantage.

It’s said that you hide in plain sight.
What does that mean exactly?
What does that mean exactly?
Our
base of operations is located in the universities throughout the country. There
we can find the best and the brightest that are willing to make a difference.
We are made up of everything from economists to astronauts, ex-soldiers to
doctors. Recently we took on a public school teacher who taught world
geography. She proved to be quite an asset to our organization. The president
wanted us to see about extending her time at Enigma.

Would that be Tessa Scott? If so how
could someone so ordinary be of any use to a clandestine group like yours?
could someone so ordinary be of any use to a clandestine group like yours?
Normally
I’d say they would be more of a hindrance than a help. But Tessa Scott debunked
that theory. She turned out to be an extraordinary woman. When the chips were
down she pulled off the impossible. I’m not sure what we would’ve done without
her. Granted she thought our success was due to some kind of divine
intervention dribble. All I cared about was that the job got done without
serious injuries to my people.

What can you tell me about some of the
other members of an Enigma?
other members of an Enigma?
Captain
Hunter is the team leader. He’s a former Delta Force soldier, West Point grad
and son of Medical Missionaries. He’s a no nonsense kind of guy. Or at least I
thought so until Tessa came along. He changed after that, less robotic, more
humane. There’s Carter who specializes in engineering. Vernon Kemp is our
computer guru. Samantha, I believe you’ve met, is an economist. Nicholas Zoric
is, well, I really don’t want to get into that. Let’s just say he has his own specialty.

Tell me about you. I know your brother
is the Prime Minister of Israel. What else might our readers find interesting?

I’m
married and have a young daughter. They are my rock. I guess that’s why I felt
so terrible at putting Tessa’s family in such danger a year ago. I regret that.
I don’t really have any hobbies. I work. My life has been designed to serve the
United States. My life is not an open book and I intend to keep it that way.
I’m a man of few words. But when I do have something to say the president and
my people listen.

Is there any advice you’d like to give
our readers?
our readers?
Know
the people around you. Who are they? Is there something off? Become as educated
as possible. Libraries are free. Read. Then read some more. Learn about the
world. It’s in a mess and you’d better know why because it’s only a matter of
time before it affects your bank account, security and the way we all live.
Know your government backwards and forwards. All public officials are not there
to make life better for you. Most of them want you dependent on them so they’ll
have job security. Care about your rights. Vote every time there’s an election,
whether it’s for city council or president of the United States. Make a
difference in the lives of others. Volunteer. Serve. That’s all I have to say.

Thank you, Director Clark. I know your
work leaves you little time for interviews. Our readers will appreciate it.
