On The Road With NaNo–Not Willie Nelson

I’m on the road a great deal these days. This month is extremely busy. I feel like I should be singing Willie Nelson’s song On The Road Again or at least make it my ringtone. St. Louis, Boston, Tulsa and Springfield. These are my destinations for the upcoming weeks. Traveling exhausts me while at the same time makes me crazy with ideas for another novel with dark, mysterious characters. Since some of these places I won’t be taking a computer I make sure I have a notebook that will fit in my purse. Then there is my work in progress which is my first science fiction piece.

Besides writing, traveling and getting ready for the holidays an author friend who is recently published, has asked me to go through his terrific novel. I enjoy his work so much that I just have to make time for it. I noticed several of my other New York Times Bestseller authors have new books so they are also on my list.

Why do I mention all this? Do I want you think I’m Wonder Woman? Nope. I want you to understand that we all have busy lives during this month of NaNo writing. Will I get done? Duh. Probably not. But I will make a huge dent in the project. I’m getting my groove on the project as of today. (Seven chapters in–about time!) If I can do it so can you. I believe this can be done one sentence, one paragraph and one page at a time. Keep working. You have an amazing story to tell. So stop squawking and get busy.
