Welcome to a new weekly segment where you do a quick look at some of the industry’s books now available. I will also be offering my own reviews of books I have read and want to share. This is the first week so let me know if you have some books I should be reading. Since I’ll be at Killer Nashville this week I wanted you to have a chance to meet John Hegenberger who won the coveted Silver Falchion Award for 2016. And this year he is up for a Silver Falchion Award in a Collection/Anthology Category titled ICESLINGER. Love his work. Besides myself, these first five authors you’ll find at Killer Nashville. Look us up! We would love to meet you! But tune in every week to see what is on my reading list.

Review: Cowboys and Indians re-imagined for the Multiverse.
5.0 out of 5 stars By Gaia on March 29, 2017
This is a cleverly imagined book that weaves what at first might seem like time travel, but is really the travel between parallel universes – the distinction being that the “here and now” could be a completely different linear time frame in another universe. The past and present can seem to exist at the same time.
Blurb: Dr. Cleopatra Sommers never came to terms with her father’s disappearance at the Museum of Natural History in Chicago. He had been a Native American scholar that explored avenues of unexplained spiritual paths in their cultures. The museum had been her home and playground growing up when her father spent long hours working. Drawn to one display case holding a mannequin of a Pawnee Indian, she couldn’t know he watched her all those years until the night he crossed over to find her. Author: Shirley McCann
Review: Kudos to Shirley McCann.
The Scarry Inn was gripping and super-thrilling and deserving of five stars and more.
It was filled with fear, deception, misconception, and murder. This talented author knows how to keep you glued to your seat and keep you turning the pages. Car trouble forces four young adults to take shelter in Scarry Inn in Frighton, Arizona. What followed afterward was sheer terror for those teenagers. The names of the Inn and the town can instill fear in the minds of anyone. Scarry Inn and Frighton were brilliant choices for names of the Inn and town. I expected something scary and scary it was indeed. It was filled with suspense from beginning to end. I could not put down the book until I read it all. Shirley McCann is another great writer I have only just discovered. Her ability to describe and plot scenes with numerous twists and turns is incredible. This story will make a great movie.
Blurb: They thought they were victims of a practical joke. Until someone ended up dead. Now they must solve the mystery before another The Scarry Inn claims another victim. Free from August 20-22 on Kindle.
