Thank you, Shirley for bringing us another summer fun recipe. It looks delicious. Let me know the next time you fix this one. And by the way she is really cooking up a bone chilling series about THE SCARY INN. She loves to write short stories too and will tackle just about any genre when it comes to a contest. What lip smacking words do you have for us today?
Shirley
I really don’t like to cook. Never has been a fav of mine. Although I do love towatch the cooking shows. Go figure.
My favorite go to recipe is Enchiladas. It’s always been a family favorite with my parents, aunts, uncles and siblings. Although I make it different from my mom’s. (She makes her own sauce. I cheat and use canned).
Here’s a pic of me in my Elvis Apron.
Oops. Someone got into the pan before I caught the picture, but here’s the finished product.
We built this house eleven years ago when my husband was in a wheelchair. Since he liked to cook, the kitchen was a major focal point. Lots of cabinet space and counter space.
Since I have a lot of people living in my house (kids and grand kids) I prefer to sit outside on my patio with a cup of tea and a muffin for breakfast. (Peace and quiet)
The Scary Inn Series
When Clare, Lise, and Kelly arrive at The Scarry Inn just before a major storm, they’re thrilled to learn they’ll be staying in a room known as The Coffin, which is adorned with coffin beds and other macabre decorations.
Little do they know that one of them will end up in a coffin for real–because a tornado isn’t the only thing threatening the inn’s grand opening. A killer is determined to make sure the inn doesn’t open at all. And that person will stop at nothing to achieve that end. https://tinyurl.com/yb7aw4kf

Tierney, You have the most interesting guests.
Shirley, I love enchiladas, must try your recipe.
The SCARRY INN is a scary read. So good.
I love anything Mexican, but my mom is from Texas, so she knows how to make a great sauce. But she’s also a great cook. That skipped a generation with me.
Going to have to try that one! Scary Inn is on my classroom Nooks! Kids really like it!
Wow! That is awesome.
Scarry Inn isn’t on Nook. Only Amazon. Interesting.
Maybe she meant Kindle. They have those too.
Gotta be it.
Great recipe. Sounds yummy. Scary Inn is an excellent read.
Yes it is a good book and the recipe looks easy enough for me to make!
It is easy to make. That’s why I make it. But my mom’s is better. Love family dinners at Mom’s house.
Yum. Enchiladas. I’m sure that kitchen comes in handy with all the house’guests’ Nothing like having kids and grandkids around to feed.
Hopefully you found the recipe. It disappeared for a while. Check back!
This is my first visit to your blog. Love the interview and I love enchiladas, but I do not see a recipe. Is there a secret handshake to unlock the recipe??? Love cozy musteries and will check out the Scary Inn series.
I have no idea where the recipe went. I included it and made sure it was there before I published. Somehow the Twilight Zone ate my recipe! Here ya go! Try this
