Writing is therapeutic for me. I love creating worlds and characters who entertain me with a constant flow of surprises. Some of my readers have told me they envision those characters peering over my shoulder when I write. There are times it actually feels like they really do that.
Tonight I got an email that InD’Tale magazine put my book KIFARU up for an award. The peril writers go through is that they often must ask for your support. It is painful, embarrassing, and a shock to a person’s modesty. But I’m asking for your vote for best cover design. It would mean the world to me. However, you will have to create an account to vote. I recommend you save it so the next time when someone else asks you to do it, all you have to do is log in. Who knows, it might be me! These are the kind of simple rewards an author needs to keep going; writing when it seems all is lost. I admit at times I wonder why I do it. Then one of the characters will whisper in my ear, “I need you,” and I’m back at the laptop to instigate a rescue. Better than taking meds don’t you think?
Then there is social media. I would appreciate you posting, sharing and inviting your friends to vote as well. This is pretty big deal to me and I would love for you to be a part of it. Thanks in advance.
