Saddle Up To Make A Difference

Posted on May 30, 2019 by   1 Comment | Posted in Uncategorized

Right now you can make a difference in The American Wild Horse Campaign which is trying to save many wild horses and burros that roam the American West. Thirteen authors got together to write westerns which would help raise money for this worthy project. I am one of those authors. I wanted to introduce you to some of the others so you can get an idea of who they are. You’ll discover they are not so different than you. Everyone is an accomplished author, winning awards and making a splash in a variety of genres. You still have time to get the set at just .99 price for 13 novels in a box set. I hope you’ll saddle up and join us. While you’re waiting for the release, you can join us on Facebook Tales from Big Country Reader Group. Now let’s giddy-up and mosey on over to meet one of the authors.

R.L. Lee

I am a daydreamer. A hopeless spinner of fancy and fantasy.  My imaginary tales of love, adventure, and humor provided countless hours of pleasure in a blessed ordinary life. In my twenties I resolved to commit these narratives to paper.  My second novel was a western family saga influenced by the close-knit relationships of my Italian American family.  The passage of time did not diminish by fondness for its characters. They remain among my favorites to this day.

 Enjoy My New Book!

Intelligent, strong, and determined, Metta Scott refuses to be corralled by an overbearing father, a government bureaucrat, a horse thief, or an Australian wild horse expert.  Metta of Mira Loma is a prequel to the first of two novels recounting the exploits of a ranching dynasty in the wild New Mexico Territory of the 1830s.

New Mexico captured my imagination with its beautiful mountains, mesas, and wild desert so it is one of my favorite places. If I found myself on the run the message I would leave would be, “Be kind, loving, and generous. Do your best—always!”

Meet Joe Corso

I started writing late in life to help my grandchildren pay for their college education.  My favorite western hero is John Wayne because he embodied the western hero. The best western movie would have to be SHANE with Alan Ladd. I love Arizona’s Old Tucson, and Tombstone. Besides being a writer, I would like to be a movie producer.

I had already written Shootout in Cheyenne and I wanted to write a sequel with a similar theme and the same characters, so after considerable thought, I came up with Gunfight in Abilene. Here is what you can expect.

Cal is away on business in Laramie when he gets word that an unspeakable tragedy has occurred at home. Not knowing what to expect he rushes back to Cheyenne to find that his wife was mysteriously murdered. Filled with remorse at not being there to protect his wife, he wants vengeance. Cal becomes consumed with finding and then killing his wife’s murderers.

Meet Indiana Wakefield

I currently have two other books out. The first is Grace. It is a beautiful story on the Oregon Trail of a woman who wants to be a reporter. In the book, Winnie’s Courage, Grace interviews Winnie. She had seen her name carved into a rock on the Oregon Trail.

You can find Grace here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P122Z2

I also have a new shorter series that has just started with my co-writer Belle Fiffer. The first book is The Baby and the Burned https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QC3YP3Q
