Dark Side of Morning

Dr. Cleopatra Sommers never came to terms with her father’s disappearance at the Museum of Natural History in Chicago. He had been a Native American scholar that explored avenues of unexplained spiritual paths in their cultures.  The museum had been her home and playground growing up where her father spent long hours working. She was always drawn to one display case holding a mannequin of a Pawnee Indian. There was no way she could know he watched her all those years until the night he crossed over to find her.

Detective Jacque Marquette suspected the beautiful doctor of stealing priceless artifacts from a Native American exhibit. He realized after meeting his identical twin from another time and place, Dr. Sommers might not be as crazy as he initially thought. The layers of concern for his city begin to stack up as he is caught between culture and the Pentagon. Only with the help of a Pawnee warrior from two hundred years ago, can save his city from a deadly disease brought in from a parallel universe.

Wind Dancer had loved the little girl who grew up before him for years. When he decided to cross over to prevent his enemy from finding Dr. Sommers, the bombardment of changes forced him to rely on the ways of the past to survive. Navigating the future proves to be complicated as he teams up with a grumpy detective to hunt down a common enemy. No one expected the price to be sacrificing Dr. Sommers to the Morning Star in order to avert disaster.     http://amzn.to/2ieQx6x

Dance of the Devil’s Trill

He’s waited for her for nearly three centuries, but now that she’s here, he must convince her to sacrifice everything…

In 1740, the Archangel Rocco fought for the soul of the composer Tartini and beat the devil, only to discover that Tartini kept the music the devil had offered in return for his soul. God showed his displeasure by punishing Rocco. He would be forced to live alone, saving the masses from persecution, until that day when a woman with the truest kind of love would accept him both as a heavenly being and as a man. Only if she is willing to sacrifice everything to save him can he walk as a man upon the earth.

In the twenty-first century, taking care of a brother who is homeless and suffering from PTSD after serving in the Marines is no easy task. Catharina Spokane is also trying to start a coffee shop in a luxury hotel and playing her violin for the homeless at a soup kitchen. Then a stranger arrives to heal and protect her bother. When she discovers he is The Watcher, said to be a protector of the unfortunate souls on the street, Catharina finds herself drawn into a conspiracy of greed and a dangerous love, forbidden by God. Does she have what it takes to save him-and herself-or will her indecision and lack of trust doom them both?  http://amzn.to/29HPzPj

An Unlikely Hero

Tessa Scott is living the American dream – big house, successful husband, and three beautiful children. No one would suspect a Libyan terrorist is at work nearby.  When Tessa sends her family on vacation after another fight with her husband, she is expecting a relaxing week of solitude and reflection. Instead she is confronted with a bomb in her backyard, and the terrorist group who are looking for it. Tessa survives only due to the entrance of Captain Chase Hunter, a man who seems just as dangerous as the terrorists.  Unsure who she can trust, Tessa is thrown into the secret world of assassins and national security.  Meanwhile, the self-possessed Captain Hunter finds that Tessa Scott is affecting him in a way he thought no woman could. The two are forced into a complicated partnership as they work together to unravel a terrorist plot that will affect thousands of people. The stakes are raised when Tessa discovers that her family is directly in danger – will Captain Hunter save them, or is he looking to Tessa to save him?  With an intricate storyline, complex characters, and blood-pumping action, An Unlikely Hero will have hearts racing at each high-velocity turn of events.  http://amzn.to/1KbFRgY

Winds of Deception

Tessa Scott thought going to Washington D.C. for a geography conference would be a great way to recharge before her classes began in the fall. Believing the encounter with Captain Hunter a year earlier could finally be forgotten, Tessa realizes she is once again the pawn of Enigma, a Homeland Security Agency. Their plans to ensnare her to assist in the protection of the president and Israel’s prime minister from an assassination attempt sounded absurd. Forced into service, she soon realizes the hurricane moving toward the nation’s capital creates the perfect opportunity to stage an attack. When Tessa learns her uncle, who survived the bombing of the USS Liberty is behind the threat, the lines of loyalty begin to blur. Faced with the choice of saving her uncle or protecting the president, Tessa discovers her heart is also in danger from the notorious Captain Hunter.  http://amzn.to/1dxkHOo

Rooftop Angels

When Tessa Scott wakes with blood on her hands in a rat infested shack in Afghanistan, she discovers six orphan girls and the Undersecretary of State. Confused at how she got there or why a smoldering Black Hawk helicopter has crashed outside the village, forces her into yet another adventure of cat and mouse with the Taliban who intend to kidnap them. With the help of a Kyrgyz tribesman and his men, they elude the danger only to discover their protection comes at a price which involves marriage to the leader. Meanwhile Captain Hunter desperately searches for her before she disappears forever on the rooftop of the world. A race against time and ruthless drug lords, who work with the U.S. government, create obstacles which change Tessa’s life in a way she never expected.

The Rescued Heart

Returning home in hopes of putting her life back together after several disastrous relationships, Fawn Turnbough finds the man who drove her away ten years earlier is waiting to pick up where he left off. Her father is determined to keep them apart and hide the secret which forced her to run away from the handsome Garrett Horton. He’s convinced Garrett wants Fawn’s inheritance and his lead mines. But nothing will stop the mine captain this time from taking what he wants most—a heart as hard as the lead he brings up from the Ozark mines. When a mine collapses, two enemies are forced to work together to survive and bring light to the truth.  http://amzn.to/1I9bwA7

When is Rooftop Angels anticipated release date? I thoroughly enjoyed the first two Enigma Series books. The chemistry between Tessa and Chase adds an additional dimension to the overall “thriller”. Thank you for providing enjoyable avenues to escape for a few hours a day!

While I haven’t started it yet because I have a stand alone coming out next month titled Dance of the Devil’s Trill. I’m also working on Dark Side of Morning which I hope will be completely done by fall. In the meantime I’ll be getting Tessa in a lot more trouble. I’m already losing sleep over it. Thanks for your comment.

I thought there were only the two books. I just finished Winds of Deception and now Rooftop Angels is coming out soon. I noticed on your blog that we have the same taste in authors. I love your books and hope you keep writing them for a very long time.

Thank you, Debbie! You made my day. I’m editing Rooftop Angels even as I write this note to you. I also have one coming out with Black Opal Books in early summer called Dance of the Devil’s Trill. It won’t have the Enigma bunch in it but still has corruption and those heroes that make us sigh. So in it you’ll have A vet with PTSD, a dancer, an angel, priest, awful mayor and a mysterious hotel owner. I’m doing research for the Enigma book after Rooftop Angels too. Keep in touch! And thanks again.
